Sucker Born Every Minute

Post by Louis Schubert »

I had a rather large project out of my studio and went shopping on eBay for some blank CDs. There's a guy who is selling and getting bids for 'A BLANK CD' at $1.00 plus shipping. I usually buy them in spindles of 100 and they cost me less than a nickel a pop. One of the best parts about playing music is watching the people and the fun seems to never stop, even offstage.

Louis:

Are the CD's you buy CD-R's. Where do you get them for nickle each in lots of 100?

Thanks,

Roy

It's a rebate thing. I've got a stack of Maxells that cost me nothing via the mail in rebates. The rebates can save you a bunch. You've got to be a savvy shopper. Most retail is around 30 cents a pop. Never a buck.

I've seen many items on ebay where the price was higher than what you could buy it new. May be something like a small Behringer mixer where the high bid is $74 with $10.00 shipping, and you can buy it new at Zzounds for $69.95 with shipping being free or a modest amount, and no tax.
