There is a lot of concern (and rightly so) about programs containing Adware and Spyware finding their way onto ones computers.

Eliminate all the junk with the following two free programs. I use them both and they are great.

AdAware http://lavasoft.element5.com/support/download/

SpyBot http://spybot.eon.net.au/index.php?lang=en&page=download

I use Spybot, and YES, I agree it's excellent. It does a "search & destroy" command with good details about the privacy policies of each find. Then you have the option to destroy.

Both programs are good but don't remove all the parasites in my experience. Using the new Google toolbar has helped control the popups for me.
