SoundBlaster Live! Platinum

I just bought a new PC and they downloaded the SB Live! installation software from the Internet.
They got it wrong. It should have been the Platinum and now I am missing several components including my much used Recorder.
I have the original Installation disc. Can I run that and overwrite or do I have to deinstall. Are there any complications I should be aware of?

Roy,

You got it. Just uninstall all the software for the soundcard via the control panel - Add/remove programs and then install the new software. Do not install over the old software, that is where the problems will hapen.
