I have a spankin' new win 2000 server I am setting up.
I have another spankin' new workstation running win98se.
I have a share setup on the D: drive of the server, that is shared to both Macintosh
and Windows users.
I have given share permissions and security access to "administrator" (of the 2000
server)
if I log on on a mac as administrator- I can see the shared folder on the d: drive
if I log in on a win 2000 workstation as administrator- I can see the shared folder
on the d: drive
if I log in on the win98se station as administrator, I can see the server in my network
neighborhood, but cannot see the shared folder on the d:\drive-although I can see
shared folders on the C:\drive
what am I doing wrong?

Maybe your "Primary Network Logon" is wrong on the Win98 machine. It's set in the Network settings in the Control Panel.
Just a hunch...

Is there even an administrator login for Windows 98SE? If not, and you've only given administrators permission to see that drive, that may be your problem. |
