Are the documents "PDF" formats?? Many manuals are in the pdf format and require the Adobe PDF reader to be able to display them.
If they are in a .zip format, they are compressed and need "unzipped" before you can view them.
Check the format(s) of the document files and make sure you have the correct program for the files.
The Adobe PDF reader can be downloaded free.
