Suddenly my desktop screen became too large for my monitor screen. There is a 1" black border on the top.
When the cursor hits the edge of the monitor screen, the "desktop screen" scrolls bringing more desktop into view.
I tried to adjust the monitor screen knobs, but this won't help.
I went into Control panel/Display and the display is set at 1024x768, as it should be, but the desktop icons look larger than normal.
This happened while I was using VideoWave 4.0 while trying to record TO my VCR.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks.......Joe |

Switched identical monitors, but still the same thing.

Some video cards come with software for controlling the desktop. They have an option for zooming and/or virtual desktops. It sounds like you have that software installed so look at that and turn off the option that lets your virtual screen size be larger than your real screen size. |

Jim
You hit it on the head. I went searching & found it. The software had placed the monitor in TV screen mode.
Sure save me a lot of frustration. Thanks again, and thanks to Bob for this wonderfull site.

You sure did Jim, and it saved me a lot of misery. I had searched through everything except the right thing, Actually I shouldn't say that, because I came across the monitor/TV screen thing, but didn't understand it until you gave me the clue. Went back and diddled with it, and it worked.
Like they say, "if you save one life, the effort is worth it" Thanks again.......Joe |
