It certainly is, IF you have a sound card that has a "What you hear" capability. I use a Soundblaster Live Platinum card and can record anything I can listen to on the net. That includes streaming real audio such as classic country radio stations or streaming mp3 or even things like Bill Nauman's Live 365 radio broadcast of his Steel show.

Andy-- I use a $12 program called "Total Recorder". It does a fine job, especially if your connection is so slow that the sound "breaks up" when you listen to the streaming audio. The program automatically stops and restarts recording so you end up with an uninterrupted file. It also works great when you wish to mix/add to an audio file from the mic or line-in on your audio card. You can download from the following URL. -- Ev

Someone mentioned Total Recorder in a previous thread - possibly you Everett. I got it and it does work very well; 12 bucks is cheap! Total Recorder's home page is

"Goldwave" will do that for you.....
If it (any sound thing) hits the sound card, "Goldwave" will capture it.
"Goldwave" is a shareware program, well worth the price, Being that it is in the 2nd or 3rd revision, shows it is being supported by author and customer base.. |
