Band in a Box Help needed

Can any of you give me plain English instruction on how to "step write" a style. It sounds like the manual is saying that it can't be done, but I wrote a fair sounding 4/4 shuffle style. The problem is I can't figure out how I did it. Any help would be appreciated. Feel free to email me if you like.

Ken, whenever I've wanted a new style I've taken an old one and modified it. Usually it involves deleted superfluous patterns then modifying existing ones by entering the drum pattern (pressing R) or completely redoing the bass patterns in real time. The only thing that I've been able to step write is the drums.

Ken, there's also quite a few sites on the web that feature BIAB files free for the downloading. You should find some pretty good shuffles and about anything else you would ever want.

Good Luck

If you open your style in the "stylemaker, edit style" applet in BIAB, you should see a "map" of the timing pattern you created. You can compare it to the style you modified to get it.
To save a bitmap image of the map, press "print screen" when viewing the map, then open "MS Paint", choose "edit, paste", then name and save the file.

Billy Cooper's Music sells Band In A Box pre-sets...He demonstrated some to me and they sounded pretty good. You might try him.
