Hi Guys,I have friend who is not on line & he's just purchased a new Nash 112 amp, he plays a Carter S12 standard George L p/u & Pro-Fex 2. Question is: what would be the best settings on his amp? A HAPPY CHRISTMAS & NEW YEAR TO ALL. Kind regards, Dave (UK). |

Everyone's se4ttings will be different, but I think the general consensus for most everyone, without giving specific settings, is to boost the lows a good amount, boost the highs and presence (but not quite as much as the lows), cut the midrange to taste since there is quite a bit of variability there, and put the shift around 800.

The suggested control settings in the operating guide are good starting points for E9th playing. However, suggestions of a 12 string setting would have to come from those players. And, be careful of overboosting the low eq control! |

With my Carter U-12 Universal w/ Geo L pickup, a "typical" setting would be
Pre-gain: 3.5-4
Low: +3 to +4
Mid: -3 +/- a few
Shift: 800 Hz +/- a few
High: +3
Presence: +3
Reverb: 3-4
Master: So it's loud enough, but not too loud.
I have to be careful with Low setting, since I use those low strings to pad sometimes. These are nominal settings - I usually have to tweak to the room. |

For me , what ever settings i use i play with the heel of my right hand in front of my picup about an inch and it seems to give me a better over all tone from the 10th fret down to the 1rst and over top of the picup from 12th fret up to Hughy land. That works for ME great. |
