I use a Korg tuner and have it more or less permanently hooked up to the 'low' input on my session 500. The guitar is hooked up to the 'high' input. I know this is loading (a little) but I can't tell any difference in the sound either way (hooked up or not). Has any one else done this? My tuner is always hooked up, and by using the volume pedal to control the pre-amp gain (peavey's to/from pedal connections) I just back the pedal off to completely quiet the amp and still make my tuning adjustments. Seems to work but I don't know if what I'm doing is potentially hurting my sound. Has anyone else done this? |

I plug a tuner into the Post EQ Send on a NV1000. It affects nothing, works well, and when not used, is turned off without removing the plug. If I wish to tune without sound, I turn off the Master Gain. |

It shouldn't hurt a thing and is a good way to set up continuous *and* silent tuning with the same system. I've done it that way many times. There isa "load" factor - but it's imperceptible, as you noticed. |
