Marshall Amp

Just picked up a Marshall G80RCD amp and it sounds really nice. Don't use the Crunch feature, but like the Clean sound. Guess it's 80 watts and looks very well constructed. Any of you tried this for steel? It sounds thin for my Carter D-10, but it sings really nice with my new Jerry Reid Tradition guitar. Sounds better for steel than my Peavey Bandit though.
