Open back. Closed back. Which do you prefer and why? Trying to make a decision. Thanks.

I think this should be under electronics rather than Forum Feedback. I have JBL 15s in both open-back and closed-back cabinets. I much prefer the closed-back sound. They have a much fuller bottom end. The open-backs have a boxy, mid-rangey sound I don't like as much. The closed-back cabs are more efficient and sound louder, even in the mids and highs.
Also, the closed-back cabs are more consistent, because they are not affected much by what is behind them.

David is right this belongs in the Electronic's, not "Forum Feedback".

But, if you go to the Electronics section and then do a search on your question you will find it's been asked and responded to many times. The search function seems to be something people don't use.
