Can some one tell me what pick up this is? It's in my Fessy U12, don't know if it's original or not.

It looks like either a BL710 or a BL XR-16 ??

Looks alot like a Lawrence 712 I once had in an S12U.

As per Paddy, those two BL pickups look alike and it is either the 712 or the XR-16.

Is there anyway to tell for sure with out taking it out? I don't know if if would be marked on bottom or not.

Good question. Don't know how you'd tell. Looks exactly like my XR-16. Looks a lot like Pete's 712. Don't recall if it's marked underneath. 710/12 is a popular Fessenden choice. Don't know if the XR-16 is in common use in Fessies.

I don't know about the pick-up, but I love those longhorn inlays!

Ok,, Thanks Guys,,
I know more now than when I started, It seems everyone agrees it's a Lawrence pick up, as to what model??? Well I quess if I ever have to replace it, then I'll know what I put in it! LOL..

I do know that what ever it is,, It sure sounds great!!

That's exactly like the 712 that was in my MSA Lacquer Universal.

Check the ohms on the pickup. I'm not sure, but the 712 and the XR 16 may have different ohm levels. Otherwise, take it out and look on the bottom.

LARRY, THAT PICKUP AM A ELECTROSTATIC TRANSDUCER, IT WILL NOT PICK UP GIRLS UNLESS YOU PUT WHEELS ON IT AND BUY THE BEER......

That's the one on my "new to me" Fessy U12. I had no idea what it is, every one has been really helfull here!

As far as pickin up girls,,,,, I don't think Ginger would understand ,or aprrove!! lol..
