The general consensus seems to be that the little Nashville 112 is a great sounding steel amp, but for those few jobs where more raw power is required...well,does Peavey make a high wattage slave amp that could be run off of the N112 pre amp?? In other words, it might be nice to be able to come out of the N112's pre-amp out into a high wattage slave amp which is,in turn, hooked into a good heavy speaker cabinet. This could preserve the integrity of the N112's beautiful tone while increasing the volume to the "desired" level. I don't like playing really loud, but some good paying jobs require it. Another factor here is that I'm not young and strong anymore, so I tend to think "modular".

A lot of NV112 users are bringing two NV112s when more juice is needed. It's extra gear to carry but managable. I'm not sure how much more wattage the NV112 speaker can handle. Dave

Wayne, I receive daily reviews of the performance of the Nashville 112 amp. If one Nashville 112 handles your small jobs, two of them should handle your larger venues. Or, if you can find a PX300, that would be an option as it comes equipped with a 300 watts amplifier and the same 1501-4 shallow basket speaker that the Nashville 1000 is equipped with.

MIKE,JIM,&DAVE, thanks for the options! Since my original post, a good friend loaned me his Session 400 Limited. Last night, on the job,I hooked up a cable from the N112 Pre-amp out to the S400Ltd power amp in. Man, what a sound!!! I then tried both amps separately. The N112 pre-amp out was the magic sound. Only downside to this is that it puts you back to square one with the weight thing. That Session400 is hefty! So I'm still looking for a good power amp head that is separate from any speaker cabinet. After hearing how good the N112 sounds by itself, I can sure understand why a second N112 would be a viable option;not to mention that after lifting the Session400,I almost yanked the little N112 over my head, after braceing myself for the task of lifting another amp. Guess I am now a member of the "Nashville 112 Happy Camper Club!" That is really one fine, well thought out, little amp!

Hey Wayne, I just got a NV112 yesterday and haven't really had time to play with it. I got it to stereo with my custom Evans Mini(200 watts into 1 12" speaker). Plenty of power in the Evans but I miss the fullness of stereo as in my big rack rig. I believe this combo is gonna be great for small stages and bad load-ins.
