Topic: Hilton pedals with 230V?? |

I would like to get a potless volume pedal, but as far as I can find out the Hilton is only available with a 110V/60 Hz wall-wart. But on this side of the pond it has to be 230V/50 Hz.
I know Bobbe sells Goodrich's potless pedal with a euro-style wall-wart.
Does anyone know if Hilton offers a european version, if the Goodrich unit fits the Hilton, or what specs the Hilton pedal requires? Or should I get the Goodrich pedal instead?

I am not aware of a European version of the Hilton pedal. I connect mine via a step-down transformer:
The black square on the right is an American-style 3-prong socket. 39 Euros at Conrad Electronics in Germany. www1.conrad.de Search for "Vorschalt-Spartransformator".
You should be able to get something similar in Sweden.

i believe all Hilton VPs come in the 110 v version
that goes for export models as well
lke Rainer shows & suggests : a transformer is mandatory
they can be found for a reasonable price in most countries
i use a big model transformer pretty much like Rainer's model
that way i can run other gear i have in 110 v

My volume pedals are working all over Europe. All that is needed is a 230VAC to 120VAC transformer. It does not take a big one. Even as low as 25 watts will run our pedal. Of course one with more watts is OK.
My pedal will run great on 50 hertz. You should easily find a transformer where you live. I sell them with our pedal for $19.75.
Venman's Music in Holland is one of our dealers. You can contact them for help also. The power supply for the Goodrich pedal will not work on the Hilton pedal. The power supply for the Goodrich is connected in the back, where the heel of your shoe must rest on the power cord. Our power supply is connected to the right side of the pedal and your foot does not touch the power cord. As to see which one to buy, you might check to see what 95% of all the major music shows are using. It think you will find they use the Hilton pedal--Shania Twain, Tim McGraw, Clint Black, Mel Tillis, Merle Haggard, Roy Clark, Kid Rock,Trick Pony, George Jones ETC.[This message was edited by Keith Hilton on 17 May 2005 at 10:11 AM.] |
