I was wondering if anyone knows of a cheap but good volume pedal? I have a 1964 Fender Volume Pedal but I don't want to wear it out practicing. Any ideas? How about a used Goodrich...anyone have one collectin' dust?

Casey, check out the Carter website, they have a nice little VP for around $99 which looks like it will do the job nicely.

I have a used Goodrich listed, a couple in fact. The cheaper on has a little scratch on the top end that could probably be sprayed out, I'm just afraid to try it cause I don't know if I could get it back together. Let me know if you want it, we can work something out.

Casey, I have a BOSS vol.pedal, works good and looks good. Be a good practice pedal for you. Its smooth and no scratchey sounds in it. It is in a Boss bag that it came in. E-mail me if your interested or call me if you have any questions. 479-474-8835...........

Casey, I've used the same Fender volume pedal for 40 years, and haven't worn it out yet. It still looks almost good as new! Are you saving yours for the grandchildren?

The Fender pedal will last forever, long as you don't leave it out in the rain, but the pot will eventually need replacing, as is the case with all passive volume pedals. A 1964 model is likely to have the 250k pot. It's hard to find a replacement pot with decent action and a shaft of the right length, but a 500k will work fine, too. I've been using my Fender vol/tone pedal for 10 years and carry an Ernie Ball as a backup. Works fine with a little maintenance, now and then.

Keith,

Tell me more about your Goodrich pedals. What's the prices and what models are they? I would definitely like to get a good Goodrich pedal.

Thanks!
