Jim Dunlop,is making a 470K audio taper pot, for there cry baby pedals.
I talked to one of the tech guys, down at the factory, about what i wanted the pot for,ie to replace the almost impossible,to find (quality) Allan Bradley/Centralab type J
pot.
I put one in my Fender VT pedal,so far it sounds great, the audio travel is a kitty hair shorter than the old pots, but for me its not an issue (you adapt).
Dunlop is claiming its good for a million cycles, thats better than anything Ive found so far.
I got mine at the factory in Benicia,i paid $34, but if you go to the antique electronics
site, i think its about $5 cheaper.
The shaft, has a flat milled on it, and theres a nylon cog, which has a clip on the end, carefully take these off,and save them.
If the pot fails, you need to put them back on, or Dunlop will not honor there warranty.
I hope, this ends your Pot dilemas, or at least one of them.
All the best
