I think I may have seen an earlier post about this... I just got Rob Ickes' newest Solo CD "What It Is" and I'm really blown away. All of his stuff is state of the art Resophonic playing but this is really wonderful. Masterful playing and fantastic tunes- a couple are in the vein of Slower Melodic beauty, but the Swing and Jazz has to be heard to be believed. Do yourselves a favor and get this NOW. Thanks, Rob.

I agree completely. This is one fine CD. I've been listening to it for about a month and am still amazed.

I was fortunate to see Rob and the group last month in a small club when they did a short CA tour. Maybe 30 people in the audience. I was already a fan of Robs but I couldn't believe what we were seeing and hearing. So fine!

Get the CD if you like good grooving moving jazz at all or if you like to hear resophonics being stretched in a really nice direction.
