Guys , I've got a Pod xt ordered, and I've printed off some of the settings for steel, but what about settings for my strat? I'm gonna have to have a different tone than what I get from just playin through my session 500rd. anybody got settings for a six string? particularly a Strat. thanks
Terry

Oh, man, Terry, don't worry. That thing is made for 6-string. For steel you only have three or four real options in terms of amps and speakers. But for 6-string you have a whole raft of presets for everything from clean to big Muff. And you can build your own sound from scratch from a dozen classic amps, and bunches of speaker and cab. combinations, and dozens of effects. I think there are about 13 different reverbs alone. You can just pretend you are walking in a vintage music store with several thousand bucks and just pick any amp and speaker combination you want. The controls work pretty much like the amps controls - that's the idea - except that some that had only two EQ knobs in the original get 3 or four with the POD.

Ok thanks David. I want a tone similar to Don Rich who played for Buck owens, or maybe a Redd Volkheart tone.

Terry,

The POD will be able to handle that. Even using your Strat.

Good luck and E Mail me if you need help getting started with the PODxt. At first it is a little confusing to edit and configure but you will catch on.

Good Luck and Congrats on your new PODxt. I am thinking of selling my Transtubefex since I started using the PODxt.

Check out my web page. It features some samples of my playing and recording with the PODxt.

Click on the link at the bottom.

Very nice Tim! your Carter sounded great on Farewell party, and that's fantastic Tele playin on Twin Teles. I like your tone on both steel and your Tele.

I'm not to sharp on this fancy electronic stuf, so I may be e-mailing you. thanks
