Does anyone use the BIAB for rythm for the Steel?
What accessories are needed if you do?
Any tips for a new user of BIAB?
Thanks...
Bill

Bill:
You should get in contact with Big Jim Baron, who is a forum member and BIAB dealer. He can really give you lots of tips and you should get his 4100+ song cd which is full of great songs.
I run my BIAB out of my sound card into a mixer, but I have ran it straight into the 2nd channel on the amp. Everything else plugs into the mixer and the output of the mixer goes to a couple of amps, but only into one amp works, too. Pretty straightforward setup. |

A lot of folks do, including me.
Do a SEARCH for BIAB in the COMPUTERS section.
I just tried and got 186 hits.
Also try in ELECTRONICS, there were 56 hits.
That will get you started.
There's some BIAB experts here, so I won't offer any more advice.

I don't know how I ever practiced without BIAB. I feel my playing has improved a lot since I started using it. PG Music puts out an upgrade about every year, and I always update mine, I just got version 2005 a couple of weeks ago. It is a great tool, and the basics are easy to master.

Sometimes the 4100+ CD doesn't know what program to use. One way is to rt click on the song and tell it to open with Band in a box. You sometimes have to go in and find the BB exe. icon. You then click on the box that says open every time with that program. Another way is to load the entire CD into the hard drive. I usually put in into a folder I name BBCD. The when band in a box is up and runing you can simple click on the open key and go to bbcd and the song will open. Hope that helps. |
