Is there any way to get the software to download the Newman settings to the Profex 1 from your computer ? I have programed about ten of them by hand. To do 128 of them may take days ! HELP !!!!

Check the page above for a free download of theMDF tool. I have never used it, but it is recommended there for SysExclusive file transfers for a Tubefex. |

The problem you will run into with the above is that Midi-transfers are System Exclusive. There is an ID header in the midi-package that tells other midi-devices "who" it is coming from. In other words if I tried to dump Mewman Presets from a Profex 2 to a Tubefex via midi cable, the Tubefex would just ignore the system dump. To initially get Newman settings into a Transtubefex or Tubefex (both have the same SySEx ID) I used a RAM card loaded from a Profex 2 and loaded it into the Transtubefex, no SySEx ID to worry about.
Now you are talking about the old Profex, right? Just now looking at the manual online I see there is no card slot. If the SySex ID is not the same as a Profex 2, then you will have to find a Profex 1 with the settings in it and download via midi cable. Otherwise it is all hand work! |

Ken,
Yes, I have the old profex,W/o the card slot. You would think that some one would have come up with a mod to hook up a ram drive to the darn thing. I am just being lazy and don't want to do all the hand programming. I do like the 112E settings as they sound great with the 112 JBL cab I am using. Thanks for your help.
