Just wanted to let you Gold Tone enthusiasts know that the company is definitely offering high quality hardshell cases any day now. I was lucky enough to pick up my Gold Tone lap steel at this year's NAMM show two weeks ago in Anaheim. I was also fortunate enough to talk Wayne Rogers(President of Gold Tone) into parting with the prototype hardshell case for the lap steel and it's very well made. I have an extensive lap steel collection dating all the way back to 1936 and I can assure you that this guitar is destined to become another classic. Just like the early lap steels of yesteryear, it is well made and very affordable. Someday they'll probably be going for some rediculous price at a vintage dealer.......

Hi Gary,

Did you happen to ask Wayne if he intends to make 8 string lap guitars in the near future?
