What's up with this awsome Bigsby-style instrument supposedly made in Amarillo in the Fifties.Did this builder have any connection with Paul Bigsby or is this just an elaborate homage?

An elaborate homage...Lewis "Junior" Blankenship was a well-known Amarillo steel player...played with a group called "The Pioneer Playboys" for years...there's pictures of him in the Cliff Bruner boxset on Bear Family (he was still playing a Fender in those pics)...
