Wondering if any of you know of a resource for chord theory. Specifically, I'm looking for how to build the extended chords, and how to acceptably abbreviate them.

I'm trying to get to the source, so to speak. I can easily go to the chord-finder webpage and find where to play them on my steel, but I don't just want to know where to find these chords. I want to know why.

Chris, E-mail me at thephotodoctor@mediaone.net
Maybe we can set up some e-mail theory lessons. By the way, I teach at Berklee Colege of Music in Boston.

Hey guys, thanks!! Those websites look like good starting points. Exactly what I needed.

Mike--I'll read the material on the sites listed above. If I find myself looking for more info, I'll definitely contact you. Thanks for the offer!
