Testing a Horn

I have a pair of 2x10 cabs that have a small rectangular horn in each, aprox 4"x10". They each have a cap. hooked to them. I'm not sure the horns are working in either cab. Is there a way to test them? I may not have them hooked up properly, what would be the wiring detail for them? If they are bad can they be rebuilt like speakers? Anyone have any ideas?

If you have an ohm meter you can check to see
if they are shorted. For a quick field test
take a 9v batt and connect across the two leads and listen. If It pops, you have a voice coil intact. The horn diaphram can be
replaced if it is bad. Don't forget to clean
the gap!!
