I have owned a Nashville 1000 for about four months and find it tremendous for Steel,
I also use a six stringer and I cannot seem to get the tone right.I have tried it with my Strat,Gibson 335 and a couple of Gretsches.
I have found the tone to be quite dead and kind of muddy,If I roll the bass off it is a bit better but putting the treble and presence at anything past 2 on the dial makes it very jangly and unpleasant.
There must be a lot of players out there who use this amp for more than Steel playing and I would welcome your comments and tips.
Thanks
Billy

I have used steel amps for years for both steel and guitar. I now use a Nashville 1000. The way I do it is I set the tone for my steel and I run the guitar through a 10 band eq before the amp. This way I can leave the steel tone alone and adjust for the guitar separately. It works great......
