I called Peavey yesterday with a Profex question and Mike was extremely helpful. I asked him about a Peavey Mixer problem and he attempted to help by getting me "Repair Assistance" on the phone. Mike is a super guy, always ready to help us Steelers. BTW Mike the Cache Card I have sends my Profex into data interface mode at c63 preset going up or c67 coming down. What could be the problem. Thanks again for your help. I sure am glad I have 3 Peavey amps, a Peavey Mixer and a Peavey Guitar.

That's a good question and if any other steelers have experience this symptom, please chime in on what the solution was. But, our only response here is to reinitialize the Profex II and check to see if it clears up. Other than that, we suspect a leaky battery.

thanks Mike, I can re initialize and it works great with factory settings or any setting below 63 or above 67. At that point, it goes to the message. I will take a look at the battery tonight.

I think that one of the internal E-Proms have gone bad. If a block of memory is defective, You may loose a section of data.(As you have)

E-prom's are cheap........ replace all of them.

Bill, Thanks for your reply. I checked inside the unit last night and the battery is okay, no leakage at all. I kept playing around with the card and it finally let me go into the 64-67 presets but nothing would come out when I played. After a few minutes,it locked up on one of the presets. I had just downloaded most of the presets to the user bank. I turned it off and back on, at that point I had to reset and lost it all. I am going to send the card to someone to reload with PROFEX 2 setting only, so I pulled the battery out and lost all settings. I checked voltage on the battery in card this morning and at first test,it showed 2.98 volts, I waited 10 minutes and check again, it showed just over 1 volt.
I think the card battery may be defective.
