The shaft of the gain-pot of my Session 400 Limited broke. I haven't opened up the amp yet, is it a special sized pot which i have to order from Peavey, or would a regular electronic part-shop have those pots?

Your best bet is to get it from Peavey. They also ship free. I have replaced 3 on Session 400 and 500 amps lately. I could not find anything close locally. Just call:

877-732-8391

The replacement for the Session 400 (older 1970's amp) did not have as high a shoulder on the pot, I had to add a pot nut to compensate for that, It worked fine.
I have also taken the pot apart and just put in the shaft from a used or new one that is of a different or same value.

Peavey parts and service is second to none. Always glad to point that out. I fix a lot of amps, etc as a hobby. No other company comes close to Peavey's customer service and product support, period!
