Have any of you ever used a cordless setup?
The kind used by quite a few regular guitar players. I always thought it would be kind of handy not to have to drag a cord around, just transmit your signal to the amp.

Since a pedal steel is so "stationary", I personally don't see the need. It's just one more thing in the sound chain prone to failure, noise, and possibly changes in tone. They seem to work pretty well for standees (lead, bass, and singers) who feel it necessary to "ambulate" during songs.

Hi Erv
i agree w: Donny
i use a wireless w: my guitbox (no stompboxes-just amp and reverb)but after tryin'it w; my Bud i did'nt really see the advantage or need in being wireless.
i only use a VP into the amp w: some reverb
the other out on my VP goes to my tuner and effects unit into the PA when needed

No but I've gone braless (or is that barless) on more than one occasion.

No, I just thought it would be kind of neat for when they come with the "hook" to get you off the stage, you wouldn't get tangled up in the chord!
I understand that's what they used to do in vaudeville. If the performer wouldn't get off the stage they would use the hook around his neck and drag him off.
Uff-Da!
