I just got this one today. Serial # 7A-051157, model "115 JBL Session". The pot codes tell me it a late 77 or 78 model chassis, molded plastic plate. I thought the JBL era ended prior to this date. Can anyone remember when the Black Widows started in the Session amps? The orignal speaker is of course gone, it has an 8 ohm, JBL model K-130. I got it all cleaned up and a pair of matched output transistors (one transistor was missing on the back!). Fortunately I had a matched pairs and some covers, so I pull the one one next to the missing one and replaced with the two matched ones. It sounds great and is a nice quiet rig! I know my output power is down a bit with an 8 ohm speaker, but it's plenty for me!

Thanks, I had a hunch the chassis was a 1977 and that matches the year on the cabinet. I thought at first someone had put a newer chassis in an older cabinet. I guess the 15" Black Widows came later than 1977!
