Buffer amp like a MatchBox
Unique because the components are all potted in some plastic material, making them unserviceable. I had one years ago.

Don, I bought an Izzy Plus back in the 80's. It also had a volume control on it from what I remember. The thing I remember most is when it went bad I could not find another one and I have never had the same sound since. I was hoping that maybe someone could buy the rights and start making them again. I would be first in line to purchase one..Paul King

I'd go as far as to say, I'd gladly produce them if I could get the rights (if even need be, since any patent would most likely be expired by now anyways), even still, if I knew who to contact, I'd gladly look into this

I believe it was C.M. Baker Electronics -- out of business for some time now, as I understand it.

All Izzy+'s had volume controls, pre-set inside to +6dB. Visable when changing the battery, and adjustable with a small screwdriver. That was the difference between the Izzy and the Izzy+. "Big John" S.A.S.S. #6788 http://community.webtv.net/KeoniNui/BigJohnBechtels
