Goodrich PH-2

Just bought a Goodrich PH-2 volume pedal.
It is a low profile pedal like the L120.
It also has two sets of in and out, an AC
plug, a little box in the electrical line with a transformer in it and a lot of circuitry in side the pedal itself. It
also has a pot. The bottom says it was made
in Ruskin, Fla.
Has anyone had experience with this pedal
and what does the electronic do?
