I brought on of these home the other day-love that 30 trial at Git center.
Anyway I tried David Spires posted presets(thanks David)-I went vol pedal-pod-digital 8 track and I think this baby's a winner.I thought the old POD sucked big time, even for regular guitar, but this thing is nite and day.The effects are much improved and cab/a.i.r. function is very effective. There's almost too many options but I only just started playing around with it.It's not all that complicated.I'm looking forward to trying some twin reverb settings...gee anybody have some ? I also got a great Santana guitar tone yesterday in about 20 minutes for a singer songwriter demo.So just my experience. I've been following the recent thread on this subject with interest-thanks to all who contributed.

Thanks for posting, Rich. I may need to upgrade from the original version. I can't get my steel to the store to demo one of these. I need to find out if the response of the unit can handle the highest notes a steel can produce (beyond the frets).

I may not go with the POD's since they aren't stereo, though. I did find a great use for the extra output, though, so I'm still debating.
