Isn't that a beautiful work of art. Jeez, who would want to take that out to play it on the job somewhere. It looks as though I would just keep that one at home, that is a beauty.

So where do these guitars come from?

How can they produce a guitar with such intricate engraving, elaborate inlays etc. for such a cheap price. Is it built in a factory that pays their labor fourteen cents an hour? Is the engraving done on an engraving machine with some sort of template? Inquiring minds want to know.

The "engraving" is certainly not hand done, it looks much more like a very deep etching to me. Although I suppose it could be done with an air powered chisel engraver.

As to the price...cheap Asian labor, probably Chinese in this case.

I was suspicious of the price... that is why I posted it up... thought maybe someone here would have some information.

The neck inlay and binding looks as if it could come from Guild.

Even the full retail price of $1200 seems cheap for a guitar with this much detail and electronics.

If I owned it... the gold plated resonator would be scratched and tarnished in les then three months :>)
