Does the glue around the cap in the center and around the outer edge of the cone look new? Does the paper look new? Does it have any writing on it that doesn't look like it came from the factory? for starters.

Is the gasket one piece, or four pieces? Most recently-reconed speakers have a four-piece gasket. Does the edge of the cone (the suspension-ring) have a black coating on it?

Ok this thing is mounted in a 24x24x12 1/2 plywood cabinet I've got it out and still not sure...the glue or the paper doesn't look new....the gasket is one piece and the suspension ring is black coated.... I've had this thing for years I hauled it around in the band trailor w/a Fender Pro head in case someones amp went down.......thanks for the help

What codes are on the back of the cone? Also, is the surround doped with a bunch of sticky stuff?
