Another 710 Question

I've used these pickups before but I don't recall which is the hot lead, the black or the white. I've heard since the 710's are humbuckers that it doesn't matter which way you hook them up. Is this true?

The white lead is positive and the black is negative (ground). I'm not sure what kind of results you would get by reversing the polarity. I've never tried it.

Thanks, I figured white was hot and black was ground but after having worked in the RV business where that was backwards, I wanted to be sure.
