peavey LTD 400
just got an old LTD working, anybody know anything about this amp, would like to get schemetic and parts placement paperwork on it as I want to put an effects loop in it, near the front end of the preamp, I put a jbl d140 8 ohm in it seems like a good amp, anybody use or own one, I put a sine wave through and it is not linear at any EQ setting, right off the first stage, (no EQ there anyway) the negative peak has a scoop at 1KHZ or any frequency, the sound with a steel is a very good tone, I really like this amp, is it a noticeable reduction in volume from 4 to 8 ohm speakers?, I have only played it in my room, so it has not come close to being pushed
[This message was edited by jim milewski on 14 September 2002 at 07:36 AM.]

I have one I bought new in 1980. I have never had one problem with it, and it is still in showroom condition. It has a great sound with both steel and guitar. Mine still has the old Spider web Black Widow speaker in it.
