The Derby I have coming has E-66 pickups. I have sitting in the music room a BL 705 that wouldn't fit my '79 ZUM. What would pickup would you recommend that would maximize the tone of a Derby lacquer steel?? Maybe it's the E-66's? Thanks for your input.

Just thinking out loud--when Tommy White was playing the Derby, wasn't it a Lacquer body? Was the GeorgeL TW pickup developed at that time? For that guitar?
All I know is that TW had a great sound, then and now. If my above statements are accurate, then I'd say that it would be a tried and true good choice.

Bill: I talked with Jerry Wallace this afteroon. He installed the True Tone on
Mike Castleberrys Derby. Maybe Mike will respond.
