What is the difference between a Bass Fex and a Pro Fex other than the programs. Could the popular steel guitar presets be loaded into a Bass Fex?

Hi Bob,

The only difference I can ascertain is the factory settings.

YES, the steel presets can be loaded and it sounds and functions the same as a PFII.

Regards,
Bob

Thanks Bob. I suspected that, but wanted to be sure.

The back panel screening is a bit different in that it is set up for a bi-amp mode, which the Bassfex is capable of. The Profex II is not. There is not that much difference between the two models though.

Woah! Cool!

Looks like I just found another use for that Bassfex that's hanging around the store!

I just picked up one yesterday. It was a snap to load the Newman setting from a Profex with a standard 5-pin midi cable. I did a side by side camparison and I can't hear any difference at all.
