pick-up comparison

Have you guys done a comparison on the glE66,bl710,bl910 and the newer bl pickups?I have a new Carter steel that I ordered the bl710,s on.But I have a 94 Carter that has the glE66 pickup.Of course I am talking about the E9 neck.To me the bl710 is not in any way as smooth as the glE66.This is my finding even after all the tone tweaking between the differant steels.Has anyone else found this to be true?
