Has anyone played steel through a Standel CG 15 (140 watt) amp? If so, what was your thoughts about the Standel amps for steel? Herb S., you've probably played one or have one?! Thanks for any comments.

10/4 on the capacitance. I've been using that chord since the Bill Lawerence days, so I can't say enough about it. The amp is a Standel 25L15 Vintage Plus, which is a replica of the original 50s model. If you'll go to this site http://www.requisiteaudio.com/
s25L15.html#anchor3499342 the cream colored amp is the model I'm getting, but it will look like the Switchmaster a few photos below it, only with 5 or 6 knobs.

Personally I have never heard one but you know what they say. "If it's good enough for Big E then it's good enought for me".

I'm not sure which model he played, but Bobby Black sang high praises of his old Standel.
