Does anyone use a Harmonizer with Steel, I realize it will not respond to slides correctly, but it still look like you could use it.
I play parts w/ fiddle now and need that third part. (no guitar)
Thanks,
Jim

I use the harmonizer in my Boss GX-700 but can play the harmonies easier on the steel without any help. Our fiddle player loves playing through it though, it makes him sound like a whole violin section.

I am assuming you mean in a live situation. I used to use one many many years ago. It did not have "intelligent pitch shifting" as they call it now. You had to be real careful what notes of the scale you played or you would get some off notes. I think pitch shifters nowadays can be programmed to compensate for this.
In the studio, it would be best to paly the parts yourself as has been mentioned.
