I have a '72 Fender Twin and last week, while packing up, I was going through a doorway and caught the volume pot on the door jamb and snapped it off flush with the face of the amp. I would like to keep it original and was wondering if anyone had any old Fender parts and might just have a 1-Meg pot laying around. The part number on the original is 021832, 1-Meg, Aud.. Please please help !
Thanks in advance,
Carl

Those are available through your dealer from Fender.

Thanks for the replies. Kevin, AMPWARES is closed. Hamilton, I am aware of the CTS replacements available from Fender but I was trying to keep this unit "original".
Thanks,
Carl

Carl, think about this. ANY part replacement and it's no longer "original".
Check with Antique Radio Supply (not sure of the web url) as they have some NOS Fender parts. |

Give Jeff Krumm at Savage Audio Inc. a call at 952 894-1022. He does service/tech warranty for many brand amps/mixers/audio, restoration, parts, builds custom amps. He is very knowledgeable on Fender (owns at least one of each Fender amp produced). Drop my name if you wish. www.savageamps.com [This message was edited by Kevin Mincke on 16 October 2001 at 11:10 AM.] |

Ok guys. Jack, point well taken, as I have changed tubes, casters, etc... I'll run down to "George's Music", our local Fender dealer, and order one. I think we can close this thread.
Thanks again,
Carl
