Amidst my assorted steel guitar stuff are some old Emmons single coils. Two have shorts and one is very microphonic. On my Lashley I've found c.18K for E9 and 19.5K for C6 sounds good. Any recommendations for a good pickup rewinder tech and any ideas the cost? Thanks, - DJ - |

John's right....if they're Emmons pickups,
they'll do the most accurate job. They
really should be the same type & gauge of
winding wire. You can arrive at the same
ohms by varied combinations of wire thickness
and the actual number of windings.
