Altec speaker question?

I came across an Ampeg bass cab with 2 Altec
model 421-A 15 inch speakers. Does anyone know if these speakers can be used effectively with pedal steel? I don't know if Altec made different model speakers for guitar & bass. I remember the old Standel amps used Altec in some models of their amps and they sounded good. Any idea?

Sure Len, they'll work. But remember they are probably old, and weren't really designed for full-range use. If you could take your amp, and then just plug in the cabinet and try them, that might tell you more than any of us here could. If the price is right, it's worth a shot!
