Does any one know the settings for the "better man" program #80 on the Pro fex II??
I heard it this weekend and would like to try to set the numbers in a trans tube fex for a friend.

George.....

Go to Jack Stoner's web-site. There he has all the Profex II listings in a single package. Just download the file. Oh,, be sure to thank Jack for the file.

#80 is "Jeff's #4" in the Jeff Newman programs listing. You must have seen someone with a modified or reprogramed set.

The complete Jeff Newman Profex II listing is on my web site.

Preset #80 that is entitled "BETTER MAN" is a preset that Jeff Peterson with Clint Black's band created for the TUBEFEX. Here are the parameters of that preset;

CM(100)>3B(100)+Delay(Cool+Reverb(12)
CM=compressor
Atk=XFast, Rel=XSLOW, Sus=2, Level=100%, Ngt=1

3B=3 band equalizer
Type=guitar, Lo=0, Mid Freq=750Hz., Mid Gain=(-25), High Gain=+40

Delay
Type=Tapped, L.Dly=371ms, R.Dly=371ms, Fdbk=20%, Tape Sim=off, Mix=100%

Reverb
Type=Spring, Size=Large, PDly=30ms, Time=2.9s
Damp=Off, Mix=100%

I hope that this helps you obtain the sound that you are looking for.

Since it doesn't use the analog preamp, that patch that Mike Brown listed would work on either a Profex II, or a Tube or Transtube Fex.
