I suppose this question/topic might belong in another area of this forum and if it does, my apologizes are offered in advance. At the ISGC, my equilibrium was off between cocktails and a constant bombardment of quality steel playing. I thought I noticed some Nashville 1000s were miked and some were not. So, I feel compelled to ask this question. Will the line-out signal from my Nashville 1000 produce the same tone I'm hearing from my amp? And yes, I do have the manual for my amp. Haven't looked at it too much yet.

| The Direct Output signal on the Nashville 1000 is a stepped down signal of the PRE AMP OUT jack. The LINE OUT signal is a padded down signal taken from the PRE AMP OUT jack. It is electronically balanced for routing to the mixer boards, etc.. |

Gary,
Some people use the line out, and some prefer to mic the amp. The major difference is that the "line out" takes the speaker out of the equation. Some prefer the sound "coloration" that the speaker provides, and others don't care. When you "mic' an amp, you get the added "speaker characteristics" in the mix. |
