I'm close to buying a nice, clean powered mixer as a steel amplifier. I'm leaning that way because I'd like it to serve multiple functions such as keyboard amp and back-up track amp, so it needs to be clean and uncolored. Soooooo....
I need to find a great sounding speaker/cabinet. For those of you who have separate amplifier and speaker combinations, what speaker/cabinet do you use?

I'm using a close clone of the Peavey Nashville 112E speakers, except mine have the speaker front mounted. Physical size of the cabinets and back opening are the same as the Peavey's. I have BW 1203-8's in them. EVERYONE that has heard the system, which includes a Transtube Fex and MosValve 500 power amp, thinks the sound is fantastic and that includes guitar pickers, singers, drummers, etc. I've even had a couple of musicians in the audience at one show come and ask to see it up as they had to know what I was playing through.
