New Dale Watson DVD & CD

Last week I received Dale Watson's new DVD/CD Live @ Newland.NL. Excellent
The DVD and CD are seperate packages sold seperately, but they are the same material/recording.
As far as the DVD, it has wonderful film quality - nothing flashing - no light shows no special effects - just good quality shots of Dale and the Lone Stars doing their thing. The sound quality is also very nice.
The material is a good mix of newer material with a few of Dale's older tunes mixed in. Not a lot of repetition from the Live In London CD. The only two that come to mind are Real Country Song and Nashville Rash. This package includes nice live versions of Exit 109 with Herb's drum solo and Heaah, which really swings even without the horns.
IMO I think the difference between this new live recording and the Live In London is that the Live @ Newland has more of the Lone Stars cutting loose and showing off their chops. Lots of great playing from Don Don Pawlak. In regards to Don Don is that the camera shots of his solo work are sometimes too quick and short, but you can't miss Don Don's playing/sound all over the recording.
I highly recommend either the CD or the DVD. Dale's website sells them at a good price. Much cheaper than what they have been going for on Ebay.
