I remember the summer before last when they had the TV show "Rockstar INXS" and the hired a new lead singer. Almost immediately there was a CD out and a video playing on VH-1 of a tune called "Pretty Vegas" which was actually pretty good. This past summer Tommy Lee & the Boys calling themselves "SuperNova" had the same show more or less and hired a little dude named Lucas (can't remember his last name) for their lead singer. Have they done anything since? I haven't heard anymore from them to date. I did agree with their choice of Lucas as he was a pretty darn good singer and had the look that went with their type(s) of music! ......JH in Va.

I believe they are preparing for a tour, but I heard something about them changing the name. They do have a single on radio, and it's pretty good. You'll be hearing about them soon, no doubt.

I think they're going to be a decent band. Lots of experience and good musicianship there.

I actually thought the gal who finished second (Dalana?) was better than Lukas, but I think they were afraid she'd be 'too good' and become the center of attention.. maybe not.

What I'd really like to see live is the Rock Star House Band... Supernova couldn't carry their gear IMO...

Bill, I'll have to say a big Amen on the house band, especially that lead guitarist! I can't remember his name but I believe he's from Brazil and plays everything like it's supposed to be played! I was impressed by him and also the rest of the band last season as well. The first time I heard them back a singer doing "Bohemian Rhapsody" I was hooked. I watched the show as much for the houseband as anything else. It seems that no matter what tune's thrown their way, they nail it!.........JH in Va.

Yeah, Jerry, the guitar player is hot, but the drummer was the guy that got me, totally tasteful and solid. If I was Tommy Lee I'd hate to follow him...

I watched in disbelief as that little guy with a big heart "who can't sing" won, I voted for the guy from down under. I thoght about it later and realized these guys were making their decision based on a younger market and who that market could relate to? I don't know what's up with all this punk stuff anymore(country, heavy metal etc). But as Tommy said, "we always listen to our fans". I think Tommy freakin sold out completely, lol. A buck is a buck, but hey, they got more money then I'll ever have and fame too.

THey announced on one of their shows that Supernova will debute on New Years Eve in Vegas.
(Hard Rock Cafe?)

Triva:
Going back a season, you might remember Suzie McNeil, who was the last woman standing in the INXS competition.

Suzie then became a background singer for PINK, then left that to work on support of her solo work. The song "Believe" from her new CD is being used as the inspirational song in the weight loss reality show "The Biggest Loser".

Here's a two year old picture of me with Suzie:

They were sued by another band named Supernova and are changing their name. I don't have any idea why I know that.

The suite was resolved by renaming the new band
"Rock Star Supernova".
